Apostille & Legalisation

Sometimes, a document which is to be used abroad only needs notarising by the notary. However, before being accepted for use in the receiving jurisdiction, a document signed before a notary may also require legalisation by:-

  1. An apostille from the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office. Further information on obtaining an apostille may be found on the UK FCO website, and

  2. Additional legalisation by the embassy or consulate of the country of the receiving jurisdiction.

I can deal with all the legalisation requirements on your behalf and if this is required, the cost of my doing this will be either included in a fixed fee that I give you for my work or be based on my hourly rate, I will provide details of the likely charges for this. I can obtain translations of foreign language documents where necessary. Please seek further information in the tab ‘Terms of Business’.
