Service Information

Unless I am away on holiday, I can usually arrange an appointment for you to see me within 3 to 5 working days.

For some tasks, I can undertake the work required at your first appointment, for example where I am certifying or attesting (witnessing) your signature.

For more complex tasks, where I am required to prepare and draft a document, I should be able to do this within five working days of receipt of all the information required. I will let you know if it is likely to take me any longer. Where legalisation is required, an apostille  from the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office can usually be obtained within five working days. In cases of urgency, a same day appointment may be made but I would discuss the details of this with you at the time I discuss your requirements.

If additional legalisation is required (which is usually after obtaining an apostille) from  a consulate or embassy, additional time will be taken and this will depend on the time that the particular consulate or embassy takes to deal with the document.  Although that is not within my control, I would discuss this with you at the time I discuss your requirements.

Where legalisation of an academic certificate is required, such as of a degree certificate, I will need to obtain verification of the degree either from the University from which it was obtained or from HEDD, please see information on this at the Key Stages tab above. In these circumstances, the time taken is not within my control.
